I think this article hit on most of the main problems we encounter each week at CCD. I think writng down inappropiate behaviors is a great idea , refections.. I teach 2nd grade and it would be hard to use this in the short time we have together, but, I will keep it in mind just in case. Two other items not allowed in my class are food items and toys of any kind. This is very hard for 2nd graders to do ! <br />

Great idea. It is often hard to teach the Gifts and the Fruits of the Holy Spirit in a way that students remember. This is one great way to do just that! God Bless!

When we've had our pre-Lenten kickoff on Shrove Tuesday, we've made God's eyes with a wider swath of purple yarn on the outside to signify the forty days of Lent; then a narrower row of red for the Passion, and finally the center in white for Easter.

Just curious... although I like the wonderfully creative idea of using rhythm in learning, I wonder what textbook is being used that still uses a memorizing the answers to the "catechism question" approach? (I was not aware that there is a current, official US Catechism for children.) Is this a methodology we still want to promote in a nationally-circulated magazine such as Catechist?
