IDEA OF THE MONTH: Share Your Ideas!

Your Teaching Idea Can Win You $100!

Share your ideas with your fellow catechists and collect $100 if your idea is chosen as the Idea of the Month. Your teaching idea can be a simple prayer experience, a catechetical activity, or a lesson project appropriate for (or adaptable to) learners in kindergarten through sixth grade.

We will choose the Idea of the Month from all entries, regardless of when entries are submitted. So, if your Idea of the Month entry is not chosen in the month it is submitted, it will continue to be considered for future publication. Since many of your ideas will be seasonal (Advent, Christmas, Lent, Easter, etc.), we will publish ideas when they will be most meaningful for and useful to your fellow catechists. Feel free to submit your Advent teaching ideas during the Lenten season or submit several ideas in the summer months when you may have more time.

We encourage you to submit photos or other graphics to illustrate your teaching idea.

Our goal in offering the “Idea of the Month” in our print and online publications is to facilitate and encourage sharing among catechists and teachers around the country and world. Thank you for your contribution to the catechetical ministry!
